Courabyra Wines Cellar Door and Restaurant is located 6km north west of the town of Tumbarumba, at the foothills of the Snowy Mountains, home to Australia’s highest peak, Mt Kosciusko. Tumbarumba is one of only a handful premium cool climate wine regions in Australia, and is perfect for the production of high quality exclusive, premium wines including the best sparkling wines in the southern hemisphere.

The fruit grown at this high altitude and unique microclimate provides beautiful fruit that has an opportunity to develop a unique palette of aromas and flavours in the wines. Matched with a highly skilled winemaking team, the wines rival many much more expensive local and European sparkling wines. The sparkling wines in recent years have featured at the Wines of Australia display at Vinitaly where they compared favourably against some of the great Champagnes on show from several parts of the Champagne Department in France, and featured numerous awards in recent vintages. Cool climate varietals also include Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Gruner Veltliner.

The Restaurant features a magnificent menu is perfectly matched the wines and takes advantage of the seasonal local produce. The venue is one of the most picturesque locations in Australia for weddings and other special occasions.
